Choosing captains and vice-captains: Dream11 tips and tricks
A guide to choosing a captain and vice-captain for a cricket game.
- Check batting order and recent form of players before picking the captain or vice-captain. It is good to pick a top-order batter as Captain or Vice-Captain in small leagues.
- Depending on the pitch conditions, select the captain and vice-captain. When pitch conditions are normal, then an all-rounder should be selected as captain. Points are awarded both for bowling and batting.
- Does the pitch favour bowlers? Pick a bowler as C or VC who’s sure to bowl in death overs.
- If it is a batting pitch, you should not take more than four batters from one side’s team because the wickets won’t fall, and not many batters will bat. Take more all-rounders instead. If they don’t bat, they might get a chance at bowling.
