What’s new in Tampa Bay?
Buccaneers TE Gronk was quoted referring to Bucs Head Coach Bruce Arians as a football master but does new Bucs QB Tom Brady agree and how much does Bruce Arians have to do with Brady’s decision to join Tampa Bay? According to Buczone, it may have had a lot to do with his decision.
Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians didn’t get back to coaching because he was bored, and he didn’t bring in superstars Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady just to hit the playoffs. You don’t pull moves like this to win the NFC South division, but you do to win Super Bowls.
Like thunder, then a flash of lightning, the Gronk rumors shook the ground, then suddenly materialized before our eyes. I can’t remember ever seeing an NFL rumor suddenly surface and immediately become a reality like this did.
Arians has never really had a prolific tight end like Gronkowski, so I can’t wait to see how he utilizes this gift from the football gods. While known for his hands and pass-catching abilities, his blocking has often been the more underappreciated part of the tight end’s game.
Nevertheless, even if it was not 100 percent because of Arians, we agree the coach probably had a lot to do with Brady’s belief that the Bucs are in a position to winning big this season.
Another question that won’t be answered until the Buccaneers unveil their 2020 offense is how they plan to utilize Brady.
Will Arians fit the offense to match Brady’s expertise? Everybody knows Arians wants to throw the ball downfield, but this isn’t 2007 Tom Brady. The current incarnation has relied on a strong running game while throwing shorter passes, making smart decisions, and protecting the ball. Brady averaged 7.6 air yards per attempt last year, which will require Tampa Bay’s receivers to get plenty of YAC when they find themselves pinned against their own endzone.
But that is one place Tampa was stacked with talent;only bucs boasting 3 of the most talented receivers in the game today, and now including Gronk in the mix, Brady certainly will have options on the field, regardless of Arians’ offensive scheme.
This is why for many fans; Tampa Bay is Super Bowl or Bust in the 2020 NFL season.
